Prose-ject 2020 28: A Break at a Lake

June 28, 2020June 28, 2020 ~ WindySilver ~ Leave a comment

After some rough battles while trying to get on the other side, we were able to stop at a cabin by the lake at the foot of the mountains we had just come from.

Prose-ject 2020 27: No Place Like Home

June 27, 2020 ~ WindySilver ~ Leave a comment

They say that there's no place like home. I say that they're right.

Prose-ject 2020 26: Immediate Danger

June 26, 2020 ~ WindySilver ~ Leave a comment

Isabella listened to the ghoul's breathing. Its back was turned towards her and Mychal, but it would only be a matter of time until it would spot them. It only needed to turn back, walk a few steps forward and turn right.

Prose-ject 2020 25: Magic-augmented Items

June 25, 2020 ~ WindySilver ~ Leave a comment

Ria told me that being able to use augmented items to cast spells took long training and the basic skill at casting spells normally, but otherwise it was actually quite easy. It did require more concentration than normal casting, but the increased power was worth it if the augmented item was strong enough.

Prose-ject 2020 24: The Daylight Beast

June 24, 2020 ~ WindySilver ~ Leave a comment

We had been hunting the Daylight Beast for a week when we finally found it.

Prose-ject 2020 23: Day 57 of Repairing

June 23, 2020 ~ WindySilver ~ Leave a comment

It is day 57 since my crew and I had to abandon our underground sanctuary in Germany for the underwater facility in the Baltic Sea after the attackers discovered it.

Prose-ject 2020 22: Among Strings of Manipulation

June 22, 2020 ~ WindySilver ~ Leave a comment

Even though she lacked her memories of her previous life, Louise still knew how to spot the hidden strings of manipulation when she saw them.

Prose-ject 2020 21: A Delicious Dish

June 21, 2020 ~ WindySilver ~ Leave a comment

Shade looked at the dish in front of her. It was the most lavish one she had seen in ages; most of her employers did not invite her for dinner, let alone show off their wealth with it when they did.

Prose-ject 2020 20: Fugitive?

June 20, 2020 ~ WindySilver ~ Leave a comment

"Fugitive?" the same unfamiliar male voice asked. "The hell I would know?" the female voice blurted. "She's been sleepin' most of the time she's been here. We don't even know her name."

Prose-ject 2020 19: Ria’s Limits

June 19, 2020 ~ WindySilver ~ Leave a comment

One time, when she had made an unusually gross mess of some persistent ghouls who had ambushed us, I asked her about it. She only chuckled nervously and said that she had no idea. She added that she hoped that she would not find out either. I hoped so too.

Quotes

"All writers are vain, selfish and lazy, and at the very bottom of their motives lies a mystery. Writing a book is a long, exhausting struggle, like a long bout of some painful illness. One would never undertake such a thing if one were not driven by some demon whom one can neither resist nor understand."
— George Orwell

"Art is never finished, only abandoned."
— Leonardo da Vinci

"You may call me whatever you wish, but I'm taking your cake."
-L— Tsugumi Ohba
