Written in autumn 2017 for a Finnish poetry competition for young people aged between 13 and 18 and who live in Finland and later published in the poetry collection 100 runoa tunteella ja rakkaudella. The literal English translation is below the original poem.
Rakkauden kuoro
Rakkaus, kuin tuuli, joka tulee ja menee,
Joskus vire, joskus puuska, joka nostaa veet.
Se matkaa ympäri maailman,
Kulkien sydämestä toiseen läpi maan ja ilman.
Hoi, nyt liityn lintujen laulukuorohon!
Sydämeni raikaa, herää elohon!
Kuule raikuva laulumme!
Tunne rakkautemme!
Maailma elossa on!
Liity siis jo kuorohon!
Sininen ja valkoinen,
Luontomme niin monimuotoinen!
Haista tuoksut tuomen ja vanamon,
Tunne jalkojesi alla pehmeys ruohon ja lämpö auringon!
Kuule suhina puiden,
Tanssi kanssamme valossa kuun ja tähtien!
Rakkaus, tuo voima valtaisa,
Oli paikka kaupunki kiireinen tai metsä rauhaisa,
Se siellä kanssamme on!
Laita sinäkin se jo jakohon!
Olkoon hanki valkoinen,
Tai kesäpäivä helteinen,
Rakkaus maailmamme täyttää,
Turha vihaa on pitkittää!
Miksi sitä vihaa riittää,
Kun maailma on niin täynnä hyvää?
Pois viha ja kipu heitä,
Ja rakkaudella maailma peitä!
Liity joukkoomme rakkauden kuorohon,
Herää kanssamme elohon!

The Choir of Love
Love, like a wind that comes and goes,
Sometimes a breeze, sometimes a gust that raises waters.
It travels round the Earth,
Going from one heart to another through soil and air.
Hey, now I join the choir of birds!
My heart resounds, comes to life!
Hear our blaring singing!
Feel our love!
The world is alive!
Therefore, join the choir already!
Blue and white,
Our nature so diverse!
Smell the scents of bird cherry and twinflower,
Under your feet, feel the softness of the grass and the warmth of the sun!
Hear the rustle of the trees,
Dance with us in the light of the moon and the stars!
Love, that tremendous power,
Whether the place is a busy city or a calm forest,
It is with us there!
Share it already, too!
Let the snow be white,
Or the summer day hot,
Love fills our world,
There’s no point in prolonging hate!
Why is there so much hate,
When the world is full of good?
Throw away hate and pain,
And cover the world in love!
Join us in the choir of love,
Come to life with us!
The world is for us all,
And the love unafraid!
