Author: WindySilver

N. WS. Jokela, more commonly known as WindySilver, is a Finnish programmer and a hobbyist artist fighting a war against procrastination on the losing side. When her free time is not taken up by things like reading, procrastination, video games, watching series or more procrastination, she mainly writes sci-fi fanfiction and original flash fiction of various genres. While she dabbles in a lot of things ranging from digital art to jewelry to plants to whatever catches her interest, writing is her persistent forte. You should not give her yet another crazy flash fiction challenge to take part in because she simply cannot say "no" to it.

[Sept20] Tribble Month 21: Hunting Bounty

September 21, 2020September 21, 2020 ~ WindySilver ~ Leave a comment

The bounty was big enough for passing the following summer season. If you did not get heavy equipment damages while hunting, that is.

[Sept20] Tribble Month 20: Possessed Armor

[Sept20] Tribble Month 18: Decoy – Witness

Meredith was not sure when she had started to get suspicious. Sasha had always acted strange, but when Connor left their safety to her while he'd act as a bait so that they would get away, she did suspect that something was off.

[Sept20] Tribble Month 17: Hot Embers

[Sept20] Tribble Month 16: Decoy

The mechs scanned the area. It was only a matter of time before their cameras picked up my heat signature. I had to be ready — they had to follow me once I took off.

[Sept20] Tribble Month 15: Legends

September 15, 2020 ~ WindySilver ~ Leave a comment

They say that legends never die. That their bodies might leave this world but their stories, their work, the impact they made on the world remain forever.

[Sept20] Tribble Month 14: Rice

September 14, 2020 ~ WindySilver ~ Leave a comment

Most of the time, it was bland — spices and berries were expensive to buy from merchants and hard to come by in the wilderness — but it kept them alive and going, so she did not complain.

Quotes

"All writers are vain, selfish and lazy, and at the very bottom of their motives lies a mystery. Writing a book is a long, exhausting struggle, like a long bout of some painful illness. One would never undertake such a thing if one were not driven by some demon whom one can neither resist nor understand."
— George Orwell

"Art is never finished, only abandoned."
— Leonardo da Vinci

"You may call me whatever you wish, but I'm taking your cake."
-L— Tsugumi Ohba
