Challenge: Your story must contain some kind of time travel.
Mergolde had known this was a bad idea but after the fuckery that had been her life these past two years, the outcome of the time travel experiment, whether the huge payout for a success or some of the numerous risks realizing themselves, would be worth it.
Or so she had thought until the test of “five minutes into the future” had turned into arriving in rubble. Which, depending on what was going on, was either a positive or a neutral compared to what she had been doing ever since graduating.
Good thing she knew plenty things about surviving because it certainly looked like she was going to need them.
