Currently on my art: What I Lost is out, Q2 2026 stats

Hi everyone!

This quarter has come to its end all of a sudden, so it’s time for a Currently on my art post. In the spirit of the imminent FFM 2026, I’m going to keep this one compact. Viva!

First of all: my combined The Gauntlet & assorted stories collection, What I Lost, is out, marking the long overdue clearing of my collection release backlog. As usual, it’s available on many platforms for free, all of which you can find via Books2Read.

In case you’ve been wondering what’s the holdup with the release of IDTS (GRM)‘s first chapter, it turns out that the first chapter was in severe need of editing, which threw my ideas about releasing it soon after my previous post out the window. It is starting to look like it’s close to being good to go, but between being on the go a bit, unemployment stuff that has demanded a lot of my attention and energy and just generally needing a correct headspace for the editing, I haven’t worked on it much lately. With FFM now coming up, it’ll probably be August by the time I’ll finally be satisfied with the first chapter and release it.

I do want to note that with IDTS no longer being worked on daily, I have shifted my daily writing to Whoops, which has definitely done a bit of good for especially the worldbuilding articles’ progress.

And with the bulletins done, let’s have a look at the Q2 2026 stats.

Gotta say, I wasn’t expecting TFW to be that close to Q1. Neat.

That’s all for now. Let’s see how things are going with my projects, as per my project widget:

  • The Fate’s Way: Chapter 90 is still in writing. I’m still very much not close to beating my writer’s block. I still need to redraw the regular Alyssa and also Alyssa’s friends and family and the other important people, like Matti, someday. I have finally revised an unreleased chapter, but my beta reader has been super busy for the past weeks with work stuff so that chapter isn’t ready to release yet.
  • Lyokostar: The second part of story 7 is still waiting for alphareading, but that’s a thing for once its indefinite hiatus ends. This story is in need of massive reworking, so it’s going to take a long time to finish when I do find the time and energy to resume it. References need to be done. I’ve been thinking about resuming this project since I do want to finish the translation but so far I haven’t had the drive to go for it, mainly because of the reworking needs. Maybe sometime in 2026?
  • I’ll Draw The Stars: Like I explained above, the first chapter needed far more editing than initially expected, so between that and stuff going on my life the release timing has been pushed back until I’m finally satisfied with the chapter. I wrote 4495 words in this quarter, which will probably be the last big-ish number for GRM, at least unless I run into some bigger addition that I want to and can make.
  • Whoops: I’ve been writing the story and adding worldbuilding bits that have been popping up in my head. I now have five stories plus The Zeldron Urrang Experience ready, even more worldbuilding done, one story in editing and a bunch of both backstory and current-story-arc stories on the TODO list as well. The upcoming FFM 2026 hopefully will help with tackling that TODO list and get the release of the next Full Collection closer than starting to work on this daily has done.
  • GamingHabitica keeps on going. I’ve been playing Empyrion – Galactic Survival and Rope-Kun Adventure lately. That’s all on the gaming front.
  • Other projects: I finished and released the combined The Gauntlet & assorted stories collection, What I Lost.
  • Reading: I’ve read some fanfiction and started reading Ready Player One, that’s all.
  • Personal life: Nothing aside from endlessly continuing job hunting.

That’s all for this post. Thanks for reading and take care!
