Challenge: Include at least one mention of tentacles and five crystals.
Inspired by the fact that FFM is having its crystal anniversary (AKA 15th anniversary) as well as very mildly inspired by the fact my prompt Note to self: do not trust peridot salespeople. was featured today. I also challenged myself to aim for a wordcount that is a multiple of 15, the result being 7*5=105.
The Trader loomed as I knelt. Their crystalline eyes gleamed in numerous colors, the most striking ones in colors of peridot, citrine and azurite, as they observed the package in my hands.
“Do you have what we asked for?“
“I have, my liege.” I uncovered the shiny piece of Gaia stone I had brought with me.
“Excellent.“
The Trader’s tentacles took the Gaia stone and deposited the promised chunk of gorgeous fluorite into my box.
“A fair trade, as agreed, no?“
“Yes. Thank you, my liege.” I stood up and walked away, relieved. Now all I needed to do was smith the rings I needed.
Wow this is so good!

Nice work! Love that you used FFM’s crystal anniversary to influence your wordcount; that was a clever use of theme.
Now, I want to know more about this tentacled crystal salesman. And maybe too the narrator.

Thank you! I guess I’ll have to add the Trader into one of my story worlds too so I can expand the storyline tied to them :D
