Yesterday was a bit too rough. I’m taking it easy again and so I picked one of the day’s prompts, It may not absolve your sins, but it will dissolve them. by me.
You could also say that this is very mildly inspired by Persona 5. I’m blaming it on yesterday’s story.
The black gem that the fortune teller was offering me was… suspicious to say the least. There was something oozing out of it. If I were to compare it to something, I’d say it was like smoke or miasma.
“It may not absolve your sins, but it will dissolve them,” the fortune teller explained with a sweet smile on her face.
“What do you mean ‘dissolve’?” I asked.
The fortune teller’s sweet smile turned wicked in a flash. “I’m sure you’ll figure it out once it’s in your hands.” She shifted back into her sweet self just as fast as she had switched her expression before. “So, how about it?”
I had a terrible, terrible feeling about this. Was I that desperate?
Was I really that desperate?
“I’ll buy it.”
“Fantastic! This will certainly shift your fate for the better!”
As money exchanged hands and I took the gem into my hands, I had a horrifying feeling that I was witnessing a villain being born — and that that villain was me.
that’s right!!! be the villain you were meant to be! (also I just love this prompt, haha)

Nice! The ending wants to me to know more (no pressure though, it’s completely up to you whether or not you continue this story or not!) :) Also there’s just something so fun in using your own prompts XD

Thank you! Who knows, I might end up attaching this to one of my story worlds (probably the ever-growing Of Dragons, Magic and Love world) and expand this later on. We’ll see where things go! :D
