Hi everyone!
The quarter has ended, so it’s time for a Currently on my art update, one featuring quarterly statistics.
Before the statistics, though, I must say that there’s not much to be said about the later half of the quarter. I’ve been just working and writing for the most part. I never found the time to consider what I want to do with Greenfield, unfortunately. I hope I’ll be able to do that by the end of Q3, but no promises on that. As for Lyokostar 1, I am planning on tackling the alphareading of the part that’s been on a standstill for months sometime soon. For now, though, I’m planning on prioritizing FFM, which kicked off today on WordPress, and revising TFW chapters that have been sitting waiting for ages.
I’d say that’s all I have to say. FFM stories will be popping up once a day here, as has become the custom, so look forward to those. The first one will be coming up later today!
First, however, let’s have a look at the Q2 2023 stats.
It’s kind of funny that TFW has gone up by about half (probably just due to having a bit more inspiration) while NG has gone down by about half because of editing. I am adding more stuff especially now that I’ve got more inspiration for the section that’s currently being covered by the epilogue alone, so there’ll be more chapters and more words for the next quarter. Hopefully LS1 will also get back up during that time.
That’s all for now, though. Let’s see how things are going with my projects, as per my project widget:
- The Fate’s Way: Chapter 80 is in writing. I still need to redraw the regular Alyssa and also Alyssa’s friends and family and the other important people, like Matti, someday. I need to revise chapters – chapter 71 was released earlier today as my beta reader was able to read it now, and more will be coming.
- Off-DA projects: Nothing notable here. My master’s thesis progresses slowly.
- Greenfield: Editing is currently stuck at the stop position. I need to reflect on whether or not I want to continue this or if I’ve just been stuck in a sunk cost fallacy for a while. I’m currently working on editing chapter 5. Read more about the project here.
- Lyokostar: The second part of story 7 is still waiting for betareading (or rather alphareading, which I still haven’t gotten around to doing; hopefully I’ll get that done soon enough). This story is in need of massive reworking, so it’s going to take a long time to finish. References need to be done.
- A Wandering Aura: I haven’t done anything for this in ages. I probably should put this on hiatus… I should think on the likelihood of continuing this too.
- Navigator’s Glove: I’ve reached the epilogue with the editing. Due to additional inspiration, I’ll be fleshing it out into multiple new chapters as part of the editing round. Once editing is done, I’ll be reworking to add a considerably big plot bunny into the fic. 87650 words were written during Q2, while I’ve added 189 words today.
- Gaming: Habitica, Pokémon GO, Pokémon Masters EX and Dr Kawashima’s Devilish Brain Training keep on going, although Pokémon Go only rarely nowadays. I’ve also played the remaster of Persona 5 Royal for my master’s thesis for some few hours. Transcribing the data I need to analyze is taking a lot more time than I expected, which is slowing me down.
- Other stuff: I never found the time to start working in my Tribble Month collections, so the next collection I’ll be working on will be FFM 2023. I have been reading fanfics mostly. I still haven’t gotten started with IDW’s Transformers comics and at this point I might just postpone them to tackle some other stuff I want to read since the ones that I’m missing are no longer available digitally as far as I can see.
- Personal life: Not much, mainly just work and master’s thesis stuff. I did visit my family during Midsummer and celebrated my birthday. Not really anything else.
