This quarter is at its end, so it’s time for a new Currently on my art post, one featuring statistics. This one is a short post.
Not much has happened since the previous post, so there isn’t much to say. My master’s thesis keeps on going forward and so do my projects, with drastically varying speeds. It’s been pretty uneventful aside from me visiting my parents when I had some time between finishing my next thesis draft and the next meeting with my supervisors. There isn’t that much left of the home stretch anumore and, honestly, it’s pretty scary. I’ve been working on it for nearly two years now, and I’ve reached the point where I have conclude that my data is ready to be published and soon I’ll have to conclude that my thesis is finished too and see what happens.
That’s all I have to say about what’s been happening. I believe the Q3 stats will prove to be more interesting.
As you can see, IDTS has gotten an explosive increase in wordcount and productivity. This can be attributed to two things: me having a bunch of energy and free time for writing and reaching the part that is getting the most reworking due to my major plot bunny addition. I’ve had to split snowballed chapters so many times that it’s not even funny anymore. The same with the wordcount; I’m nearing 950k and it’s starting to look very likely that I’m going to break 1 million words. Whoops! It wasn’t supposed to go like this but, honestly, so far I’m satisfied with what I’ve been writing. FFM also contributed to the total wordcount percentage, although compared to IDTS it’s not all that much, haha!
I doubt I’ll hit this huge numbers in the upcoming quarter as I need to focus on finishing my thesis but we’ll see where things go. With luck, I’ll reach the final quarter of the reworking phase by the end of the year.
That’s all I have to say about the statistics so let’s see how things are going with my projects, as per my project widget:
- The Fate’s Way: Chapter 85 is still in writing, although it has gotten more progress. I’m not particularly close to beating my writer’s block here but I am getting some semi-solid progress. I still need to redraw the regular Alyssa and also Alyssa’s friends and family and the other important people, like Matti, someday. I still haven’t found the time to revise any more chapters.
- Off-DA projects: My master’s thesis is progressing well; finalization is getting closer and closer to finishing.
- Lyokostar: The second part of story 7 is still waiting for alphareading, but that’s a thing for once its indefinite hiatus ends. This story is in need of massive reworking, so it’s going to take a long time to finish when I do find the time and energy to resume it. References need to be done.
- A Wandering Aura: On indefinite hiatus.
- I’ll Draw The Stars: I’m reworking to add a considerably big plot bunny into the fic and lots of smaller plot bunnies in the form of the background characters I’ve been researching for my master’s thesis. I’m currently working on chapter 42 out of (currently) 87. I somehow wrote whopping 141979 words in this quarter.
- Gaming: Habitica and Pokémon Masters EX keep on going. I haven’t played any other games much, although I did start playing Yakuza 0.
- Other stuff: Nothing much. I finished reading The Gods Themselves. I also read Helen Scheuerer’s Blood & Steel.
- Personal life: Just master’s thesis -related stuff. This half of the quarter has been pretty uneventful.
