“Go find a spirit devil or something to help on your quest.”
Nick sighed as he scratched his head. Just as he had feared, summoning a spirit devil was far, far more difficult, not to mention far more dangerous. Many prospecting summoners lost their own spirits rather than got what they wanted in the process, if they got the devil to appear in the first place.
It was starting to look like he might have to enroll at a Summoner school. That was going to be difficult to explain; it was fine enough to tell Louisa that the fish devil he had summoned did not deal in ice cream, even though she laughed at him for his failed task. Telling his parents, on the other hand, about the changes to his planned education was bound to raise red flags. And that was all before he could even apply for a school and see if he had any hope of getting in.
Maybe he could find a Summoner who could help him?
…Where would he find a Summoner anyway, let alone one who would be willing to be discreet and within his budget?
He had higher chances of succeeding at summoning a spirit devil by himself with just this one outdated library book than finding even a single Summoner in these parts. It was for the best to start looking for more recent books on spirit devils.
Wow! So interesting, makes me want to read more of this.
