Currently on my art: No Tomorrow is out

Hi everyone!

The first quarter of 2020 Part 6 is suddenly over, so it’s time for a new Currently on my art post!

First of all, in case you missed it, my final Tribble Month collection, No Tomorrow (which I announced in my previous post) is out. I got it out on March 13th, which was Friday, both because it was almost ready by then and because I thought it’d be a funny choice of publishing date. Please go check it out; it has only previously unreleased stories!

In other news… not really anything. I wound up getting involved in the Redump community and got my first dump added to the database recently. So far, I haven’t contributed much because I lack the hardware to reliably dump most of my games but it’s a start and better than nothing for sure.

Oh, and I also switched from Firefox to Waterfox (a fork of Firefox) since I got tired of my Firefox installation losing cookies on every update (at least I think it occurred at updates). Could the issue have been fixed with a reinstall? Maybe, but I decided I’d rather try Waterfox since it’s become independent from the advertising company it was under when I last looked into Firefox forks. So far, I’ve liked Waterfox more, especially since it doesn’t interrupt my browsing if it has an update installed and needs a restart to apply it; Firefox always nuked the next tab(s) I opened once it needed a restart, which was very infuriating. I probably should’ve made the switch a good while ago, honestly, but better late than never.

Welp, that’s all I have to say. Let’s look at the Q1 2026 stats.

I can’t say I’m surprised about TFW‘s stats, considering how slow as molasses progress with it has been. IDTS, on the other hand, turned out to be a neat surprise, so at least something’s gone well progression-wise.

Oh, by the way, I learned the hard way while working on this post that WordPress.com has implemented a worse-UX version of the image editor (that’s in beta no less) to the Media Library and now adding metadata like the alternative text to these images takes far more clicks than before (not to mention the fact that the editor is either black-void-themed for everyone or just ignores my theme settings for WP and defaults to my system’s theme (which is something I absolutely hate because not all dark themes are equal, but that’s a topic for another post)). AI nonsense, of course, is immediately accessible and you cannot opt out of this beta replacement. Hooray, enshittification.

That’s all for this time. Let’s see how things are going with my projects, as per my project widget:

  • The Fate’s Way: Chapter 90 is finally in writing. I’m still very much not close to beating my writer’s block. I still need to redraw the regular Alyssa and also Alyssa’s friends and family and the other important people, like Matti, someday. I still haven’t found the time (and energy) to revise another chapter, though.
  • Lyokostar: The second part of story 7 is still waiting for alphareading, but that’s a thing for once its indefinite hiatus ends. This story is in need of massive reworking, so it’s going to take a long time to finish when I do find the time and energy to resume it. References need to be done. I’ve been thinking about resuming this project since I do want to finish the translation but so far I haven’t had the drive to go for it, mainly because of the reworking needs. Maybe sometime in 2026?
  • I’ll Draw The Stars: I’m reworking to add a considerably big plot bunny into the fic and lots of smaller plot bunnies in the form of the background characters I researched for my master’s thesis. I’ve finished the main reworking phase for the first draft and now I’m going through all the comments I had left for later and addressing them. I wrote 5429 words in this quarter; it’s been some real slow progress but the biggest hurdle is finally over. It’s starting to look a lot like I might even get to start editing and releasing each chapter fairly soon! :O
  • Whoops: I’ve been writing the story and adding worldbuilding bits that have been popping up in my head. I now have five stories plus The Zeldron Urrang Experience ready, even more worldbuilding done, one story in writing and a bunch of both backstory and current-story-arc stories on the TODO list as well.
  • GamingHabitica keeps on going. I completed Soul Hackers 2 and I’ve been playing Max Payne every now and then. That’s all on the gaming front.
  • Other projects: I finished my TM Flashback collection, as discussed above. Now, I have The Gauntlet and assorted stories collections (if they don’t get combined) to work on.
  • Reading: I’ve read some fanfiction, not really anything else.
  • Personal life: Nothing aside from continuing job hunting and getting into the Redump community.

That’s all for this post. Thanks for reading and take care!
