Currently on my art: Not much to say

Hi everyone!

We’re half a quarter into the new year, so it’s time for a new Currently on my art post… not that there is really much to say.

Honestly, it’s been a just about dead silent quarter so far, with things like the 2024 World Collections getting procrastinated in favor of things like cleaning up my apartment, doing KonMari and looking for work and IDTS getting record slow progress since I ended up falling very deep into the Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance rabbit hole and am currently far more interested in all things that more than Persona 5 (not that it’s a surprise that my brain jumped at the first chance to grab onto something else after the long master’s thesis project lol; I did need a break from P5 after that). I’ve been looking for work but so far not so good; there’s been a ton of competition for the roles I’ve applied to and as such so far I have only gotten rejections. At this point, I’m not really even disheartened about it even though I started so confident I’d have a relatively easy time finding a job, really – just apathetic. It is what it is and all that jazz.

Oh well. At least I’ve had plenty of time to rest and recover from the master’s thesis and stuff and I’ve got time and energy to declutter and get rid of things I no longer want to keep. Gotta think positively, right?

Anyhow, that’s all for this update. Let’s see how things are going with my projects, as per my project widget:

• The Fate’s Way: Chapter 86 has finally finished editing. I’m still not particularly close to beating my writer’s block here but I am getting some semi-solid progress. I still need to redraw the regular Alyssa and also Alyssa’s friends and family and the other important people, like Matti, someday. I still haven’t found the time to revise any more chapters.
• Off-DA projects: Nothing has happened. Whoops! (And I really should consider renaming this bullet point, honestly.)
• Lyokostar: The second part of story 7 is still waiting for alphareading, but that’s a thing for once its indefinite hiatus ends. This story is in need of massive reworking, so it’s going to take a long time to finish when I do find the time and energy to resume it. References need to be done.
• A Wandering Aura: On indefinite hiatus.
• I’ll Draw The Stars: I’m reworking to add a considerably big plot bunny into the fic and lots of smaller plot bunnies in the form of the background characters I researched for my master’s thesis. I’m currently working on chapter 79 out of (currently) 89. I’ve written wrote 3114 words in this quarter so far; it’s been very slow progress.
• Gaming: Habitica keeps on going. I’ve also kept playing a lot of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, although recently I haven’t played it as intensely since I sort of burned myself out a bit of the game because the True Neutral Ending was… a lot. I’ve played some Zen of Sudoku too.
• Other stuff: I should be progressing my Tribble Month 2020 collection and 2024 World Collections but they’ve been on the procrastination pile for this quarter. I should try to get at least something done about them before the next post. I’ve also read SMTV fanfiction and the book Death Note Short Stories.
• Personal life: Nothing aside from job hunting.
