Poetry

Poetry is a far rarer form of writing in my portfolio. The first poems I released on DeviantArt were ones I wrote to make sense of my feelings when I first fell in love and was at a loss because I did not know how to deal with the new emotions I had never felt before. After that came some poems I wrote to vent. While I would rather forget about those poems and let them disappear into the aether if DeviantArt shuts down because they either make me cringe nowadays or bring up bad memories, the data hoarder in me does not want them to become lost media, so I shall acknowledge them and their existence on the poetry index here so they can be left be to gather dust in peace forever.

Most of my poetry is nowadays more abstract and often prompted by some random lines that came to my mind, although it has been quite a while since I last wrote poetry. While I would like to gather them all into a collection, there are too few of them (particularly publishable ones) for that at least for now.

Funnily enough, despite of how much other literature I write, my first published piece of writing was a poem – Rakkauden Kuoro, which was published in 100 runoa tunteella ja rakkaudella.
