Whoops

Whoops is my science fantasy project which started out from day 1 of Flash Fiction Month 2025 and immediately got out of hand to the point where it also became the title for my FFM 2025 collection before I even had a story of that title written. I said whoops so many times about this project during FFM that I decided it had to be the working title of the project, especially following my unplanned 2.5k-words-written-in-one-evening wordbuilding document started with that word.

Whoops follows the story of the Pryzis bounty hunter Beyari Ket, who was born with all six gifts of the powers that be (a person who is called an Inzin in her culture). Currently, the storyline focuses on a point two decades (in the Galactic Standard Calendar; about three Earth decades) into a seemingly unending war where she crosses paths with a former Infini’Republic Security Enforcer, Steirdrar Urrang, and winds up forming a friendship with him, although backstory pieces are also planned.

Whoops – The Full Collection (v.1.0) (EPUB)

The first (and currently only) Full Collection release of the project, featuring the Whoops stories written during FFM 2025 as well as a new flash fiction story Touch-Starved and all the worldbuilding written for the project during and especially after the FFM that started all this. The databank that holds the worldbuilding is generally spoiler-free but it includes character details that have not been unveiled or discussed in the story yet, so read character profiles beyond the names’ pronunciation guides and characters’ preferred pronouns at your own risk.

Please let me know in the comment section below if you spot formatting errors (other than mismatching “QUOTE MISSING” placeholders’ formatting; that’s just me being disorganizedly inconsistent with them). All the lists should be fine since I fixed the ones that I noticed to be affected by a bug in Scrivener that breaks three-or-more-level nested lists manually after compiling the EPUB but you never know if I missed something.
